Meet Our Staff
Principal

Dr. Phyllis Vannuffel - Principal

Dr. Phyllis Vannuffel is the Principal of the London Teacher Training College and founder of EFLONLINE. She has been involved in teaching English as a foreign language since 1975 and has taught in more than eight countries. Her career has included preparing and examining large numbers of trainee teachers at both certificate and diploma level for Trinity College London TESOL courses. She is also a published author at both primary and secondary levels including Crackerjack books one and two and Tombola -Communication games for teenagers


She has acted as a consultant to publishers such as Longman and Oxford University Press and has been a contributor to professional journals such as 'English Teaching Professional and the IATEFL newsletter as well as AGENDA, the ARELS quarterly bulletin. She has given talks and workshops on a variety of TEFL related topics at locations such as the IATEFL conference '99 in Edinburgh and Brighton 2001 , ARELS , and The Oxford House Teacher's Club.

Tony Peek- Course Tutor

Tony  is based at a state college on the South Coast of England where he teaches  all levels. When he is not teaching or tutoring for LTTC he is often to be found on the rugby pitch, in the recording studio creating his popular music and songs for use in the EFL classroom      


Samantha Mallow - Course Tutor       

Sam  has taught in the UK, Japan, South Korea and China. She is particularly interested in developing materials for teaching Young Learners of English. She enjoys oriental cooking and salsa dancing. In her quieter moments Sam can be found playing and teaching the piano.     


Seb Power - IT Advisor

Seb recently graduated from Southampton University with a M.Chem (2.1 )

He is the technical wizard behind our web design and computing know how.



 

Jake White - Course Tutor  

Jake  spent 4 years teaching in South America where he was able to travel widely. He has also taught in the UK, Thailand and Spain .His academic interests include developing strategies to aid learners improve their pronunciation, particularly stress and intonation. His hobbies include Thai boxing and snowboarding.
